This is a gag that appears anytime you see something in a space or futuristic setting. It is sort of an offshoot of the . . . OF THE FUTURE!!! gag. Often the ....IN SPACE is stretched out, much like the voiceover announcer would do in "The Muppet Show" skit, 'Pigs In Space'.
